FAQ

What does the free tier actually do?

Build, simulate, and analyse without limits, and connect to the robot. The first 30 days are a full trial (unlimited export plus premium features). After that, code export is capped at 25 motion targets until you activate a licence; simulation stays unlimited.

Which robots are supported?

The full uFactory lineup: Lite 6, xArm 5, xArm 6, xArm 7, and UF 850.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Egret runs entirely locally. Licence tokens are validated offline. Live control talks directly to your robot over your own network.

Is this made by uFactory?

No. Egret is an independent third-party tool by MarshRabbit Robotics. It's not affiliated with or endorsed by uFactory, and it's provided AS IS, not safety-certified.

Can I use it commercially?

Personal covers personal projects and incidental sales. A Commercial licence is required for ongoing business or for-profit use. Simulation is free; educational and student licences are available on request.

Teams & studios?

Each licence is one named user. Need several seats or a campus/site licence? Email support@marshrabbitrobotics.com and we'll sort it out.

How does Egret relate to RoboDK or the SDK?

Both are good tools. The xArm Python SDK is uFactory's own library (Egret builds on it), and RoboDK is a powerful multi-brand simulator. Egret is simply the option that lives in Grasshopper: parametric and geometry-driven, built for uFactory arms. See where Egret fits.
